About the Enterprise Management Solution

Global Reporting Solutions Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that it has completed another milestone in its Enterprise Management Solution for indigenous corporations managing housing, municipal services, essential services and critical social issues.

We have released a Mamabulanjin brochure which outlines the history behind the project, the proposed solution and the benefits to corporations and government.

Described as an ambitious project by Macquarie Bank, it has been recognised as one of the most socially responsible IT projects they have seen.

The EMS addresses 10 critical key areas:

1. Bureaucracy:
The Enterprise Management Solution (EMS) can hold database templates for all types of grant applications and their associated compliance documents. Savings occur initially through single entry into like fields. In effect, this enables a standardized single entry point for all enterprises. Because of this design all search, audit and comparisons and contrasts both individually and between other enterprises on all activites are prodiuced in “.pdf form ”. This Output is into .pdf which can be stored in the ASP Content Management component available for viewing or printing. Consequent savings occur when annual grant applications occur with minor changes necessary to effect those requirements.

2. Duplication:
The EMS is written on an open standards platform, so that multiple data entry in different systems is considerably reduced

3. Visibility of Reporting:
Our proprietary PDF publishing engine has the capability of accessing multiple internal or external data sources and combining data into single or multiple pdf output reports. PDF files can be internally searched through our document and content management application, and publishing through wokflow modules. This means that on-demand “as Is” financial reporting for all activities including grants is a reality minimizing fraud, financial reporting delays or non reporting and auditing costs. Reporting filters are set in templates and can be set to report at community, state or federal levels.

4. Risk Management:
The EMS Solution contains a full Risk Management section that is integrated with personnel, contractors and clients. Reporting is at community, state or federal levels. Capability is provided from simple risk management training, risk compliance tracking, through to intensive risk management solutions.

5. Management of Housing, Municipal Services and Essential Services:
Full integration with each enterprises own other data means that services, OH&S, risks and assets are managed to industry standards. Reporting is at community, state or federal levels to enable government planning.

6. Critical Social Harm Issues:
The management of critical social harm issues is managed from a risk perspective and agreed protocols are integrated. Reporting is at community, state or federal levels to enable government planning.

7. Standardisation:
The EMS is designed to be rolled out across Australia and thus provides a vehicle for standardization in many areas. For example OH& S legislation varies from state to state and hence to do Work Method Statements which are incorporated into the solution. A common set of corporate governance documents would reduce considerable the administration costs faced by corporations managing housing.

8. Knowledge Management:
Our solution is designed so that knowledge can be shared at the community level as well as globally through the ASP site. It is designed so that the management tools and the processes behind them can be easily taught to like enterprises. For example, indigenous corporations will teach other indigenous corporations through the use of internet communication tools such as WebEx.

9. Economies of Scale:
Studies of the Western Australian Department of Housing and Works showed that substantial savings will be made in 2007/8 when selected indigenous corporations will manage 300 houses each. Along with the savings will be a reduction in corporate risk caused by inadequate funding. Taken further, when the aggregate buying power of all enterprises is combined significant savings is most payables can be achieved, for example insurance costs.

10. Improvements in Skills and Standards:
Standardisation of job positions and processes will be used to bring skill levels of individual positions to maximum efficiency. Each person’s training and skill levels will be closely monitored and improvements rewarded. Standard methods for doing work activities will be based on accredited workplace standards and WorkSafe methodologies. Full data on all of these will be available for government planning and reporting.
